It’s almost time for Dancing With The Stars to return to our screens, after Lottie Ryan & Pasquale La Rocca were crowned winners in the last season in early 2020. And well, what a lineup we’re being treated to for Dancing With The Stars 2022.
The two latest contestants have just been announced, and one was on our screens not too long ago – in this year’s season of Love Island. Who is it? Well, none other than Matthew MacNaab
Announced this morning on Jennifer Zamparelli RTÉ 2FM slot, two contestants, Matthew and Jordan Conroy, have now completed the lineup, bringing the number of celebrities competing for the glitterball up to 12.
You’ll most likely recognise Matthew for his short but memorable stint in the famous villa. The Down native entered the show during ‘Casa Amor’ striking up a brief romance with islander Kaz. Taking everything and anything this year throws at him Matthew said:
“I’m really excited to join the show, I love an adventure and when the opportunity to learn to dance came along it seemed like a great challenge to start off the New Year. I’ve always wanted to learn to dance, so why not do it on live television?”

Joining the lineup with Matthew is Jordan Conroy, an Irish rugby union player, playing for the Ireland national rugby sevens team. However, ready to take on a new challenge, swapping his rugby shirt for spandex, Jordan shared how excited he is join the DWTS team.
“I’m really excited to put my dancing skills to the test and looking forward to swapping out rugby boots for the shiny dancing shoes! It will definitely be a change of scenery, I can’t wait to have fun with it and learn different dances – I do love a good boogie! I have to say there’s a winning mentality and I’m in to win!”
Along with Matthew and Jordan, there is also Gráinne Seoige, Aengus Mac Grianna, Ellen Keane, Neil Delamere, Nicolas Roche, Erica Cody, Missy Keating, Cathy Kelly, Billy McGuinness and Nina Carberry.
