Kim Kardashian Was Gifted A Lock Of Marilyn Monroe’s Hair Before The Met Gala

What an *interesting* memento…

We all know Kim Kardashian channeled her inner Marilyn Monroe during the Met Gala wearing her iconic Happy Birthday Mr. President dress, and rocking it.

But of course, Kim doesn’t get to keep the dress, in fact, rumour has it that Kim changed out of the original dress right after she got to the top of the carpet, wearing a replica for the rest of the night. So she only had a few minutes in the original, but Kim was gifted another piece of Marilyn to keep. No, it wasn’t another iconic outfit, it was LITERALLY a piece of her… a lock of her iconic blonde hair.

Yes, really. The Ripley’s Believe It Or Not Museum team gifted Kim a lock of Marilyn’s hair before the Met. Amanda Joiner, vice president of publishing and licensing for Ripley’s TOLD Us Weekly, “We really appreciated her partnership and felt that she was a great partner with Ripley’s Believe It or Not! for us to be able to retell the Marilyn Monroe story to a new generation…

“We have 25,000 exhibits in Ripley’s, and when we’re working with partners, we want to show them our quirky side as well — and so that was the gift that we chose to give to her.”

In a video obtained by Access Hollywood Kim is seen getting the gift and being absolutely THRILLED.

The reality star and mogul says it’ll help her channel Marilyn and even says she wants to sleep with it every night. Okayyy Kim..

There’s nothing more awkward than recieving a gift you don’t want so it’s a good thing Kim wasn’t freaked out by the hair, although if that was caught on camera it’d be pretty gas.
