Rihanna really is the gift that keeps on giving. From classic bops to lingerie to makeup to skincare, she continues to deliver. Now, she is dabbling into hair care with her new venture, Fenty Hair. 

This range features nine products that are all packaged in pastel colours. Each product was tested on all hair types and textures, according to the Fenty Beauty website. Everything is also vegan, gluten-free and cruelty-free. They’re even given some fun, tongue-in-cheek names.

Fenty Hair has a signature smell for the whole range. It’s described by Rihanna as a “warm, ambery floral” scent that has notes of sparkling yuzu, golden amber, lemon, florals, coconut, vanilla and sandalwood.

Let’s take a look at each product one by one.

The Comeback Kid Instant Damage Repair Treatment Bond Builder – €44

This bond builder can be used as a leave-in or can be rinsed out. It claims to repair split ends, and it strengthens, smooths, hydrates and detangles hair.

The Rich One Moisture Repair Shampoo – €35

Sulphate and silicone-free, the Fenty Hair shampoo is powered by Replenicore-5, the brand’s own proprietary complex that will smooth, protect, hydrate and strengthen hair. It is also colour-safe.

The Rich One Moisture Repair Conditioner – €35

Next, we have this conditioner that will nourish and repair split ends and damaged hair. The ingredients include green coconut water, which helps with conditioning and hydration. 

The Richer One Moisture Repair Deep Conditioner – €35

If you are looking for more intense hydration, this conditioner is a better option. This product’s key ingredient is wild mango butter, which will nourish your hair to the max.

The Protective Type 5-In-1 Heat Protectant Styler – €34

This cream is to be applied on damp hair and will not only protect your hair from heat but will also smooth, defrizz, detangle and hydrate your locks. It includes moringa and cranberry oil, which will keep your hair moisturised and shiny. 

The Homecurl Curl-Defining Cream – €34

For all the curly-haired girls, this product is for you. The cream will give your curls hold and definition, crunch-free. It will elongate curls and reduce frizz without leaving your hair greasy or oily. Again, it’s powered by Replenicore-5 to help with any split ends.

The Gelly Type Strong Hold Gel – €32

Want to get into doing those slick back looks you see all over social media? Fenty Hair’s styling gel will give you an all-day, crunch-free hold. It has bamboo sap water that will help hydrate dry hair.

The Controlling Type Hair-Thickening Edge Control Gel – €22

If you are looking for something to smooth down your edges and tame your flyaways, this gel will finish your hair look off in a sleek manner. Its larchwood and red clover flower extracts help fortify your locks as well.

The Side Stick 3-In-1 Edge Styling Tool – €22

Finally, we have the edge styling tool, which features a comb, brush and precision chrome tip. It is the perfect tool to use with the edge control gel. It can also be utilised to separate hairs as it allows for precise partings and to design hair edges. 

Fenty Hair launches today (July 13), and they offer free standard shipping to Ireland for orders over €72.

While it’s too early for a verdict on these products, knowing Rihanna and her track record, it’s bound to be good.
