‘Could You Put Something Like…’: Naomi Campbell Totally Effed Up This Sponsored Instagram Post Last Night

When an #ad goes wrong...

Instagram brand managers seem to be having a bad run of it of late.

First up, Scott Disick made a total hames of his sponsored post for BooTea protein powder a few weeks back, including an entire email in his caption for what was supposedly a self-written post.

 “At 4pm EST…” Awks.

And just last night, model Naomi Campbell did her bit to lift the veil on the world of paid Instagram content, mistakenly posting the full set of instructions on how to caption a picture of her new Adidas sneakers, instead of the actual caption.

Screen Shot 2016-06-17 at 11.11.00The post, which has since been edited, read “Naomi, So nice to see you in good spirits!!! Could you put something like Thanks to my friend @gary.aspden and all at adidas loving these adidas 350 SPZL from the adidas Spezial range. @adidasoriginals.”

Ah. We see what ya did there, Naomi.

Some followers are insisting that Naomi’s error was a publicity stunt, but we doubt her “friend” at Adidas would have been on board with that. Either way, it’s been changed now:

Naomi’s made no comment about the mix-up as yet, but given that she’s been merrily posting throwback snaps and pictures of bouquets over the last 12 hours, it doesn’t look like she’s too bothered.
