We’ve been loving Lily Collins long time, but this year, the 31-year-old actress has been making serious waves for her latest role in Netflix hit Emily In Paris.

Playing Emily Cooper, Emily in Paris is like Sex And The City meets Girlboss and yeah, it’s just TV chick-series perfection.

1. She loves Grafton Street, especially on a Sunday 

Lily Collins recently revealed her love for Ireland and particularly Dublin, while chatting about shooting for Love Rosie back in 2013.

Speaking to The Irish Mirror, Lily revealed that she loved exploring Ireland in her downtime for shooting, which included strolling around the capital.

“We went out to pubs after work and I learned Guinness is not my thing. It’s not a taste I enjoy, but I had to have one while I was there, watching a football match.

“I got to see some concerts when I was there and I went exploring, walking down Grafton Street on a Sunday and hearing all the musicians play, it was so lovely.”

2. She just got engaged 

Taking to Instagram, the actress shared a loved up snap of her and her beau captioned:

“I’ve been waiting my lifetime for you and I can’t wait to spend our lifetime together…”

Our HEARTS.

The picture was taken right after her partner, director Charlie McDowell, proposed while the pair were out for a hike together.

3. Her mother is her role model 

While speaking to Vanity Fair, Lily Collins revealed that her mother has and always will be her role model. Her mother, Jilly Travelman is also an actress, model and writer, showing that the apple really doesn’t fall too far from the tree.

Lily and her mom were often spotted walking red carperts together pre-pandemic and the two are believed to share a very close bond.

4. Lily’s dad is Phil Collins

And speaking of Lily’s family tree, her father is musician, producer and songwriter, Phil Collins. Yep that’s “In The Air Tonight” Phil Collins.

Speaking of her recent engagement, Lily revealed that her fiancé still hasn’t met her dad. Speaking on the Michelle Collins Show, Lily said that despite her dad and soon-to-be hubby both being in the UK, it has been a “little difficult” to get them in the same place at the same time.

5. Emily in Paris pays nods to SATC’s Carrie Bradshaw 

Eagle-eyed fans might have spotted the nods to Carrie Bradshaw in Emily in Paris.

Lily Collins admitted that she loved creating little symbols that linked back to the iconic show, including Emily’s initial earrings which were a nod to Carrie’s initial necklace (created by costume designer Patricia Field – who also was costume designer for Sex And The City!) And Emily’s tulle skirt, which again was similar to Carrie’s.

6. Lily is 5ft 4 inches

Lily has starred in many movies at this stage, but 2009 was her big break when she starred in The Blind Side alongside Sandra Bullock and Tim McGraw.

Other major movies include Love Rosie, To The Bone and last year’s Ted Bundy movie Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil And Vile.
