However, Lady Whistleton did share that this season will see a particular focus on the character of Anthony Bridgerton, Daphe’s older brother, and head of the Bridgerton clan.

“This author has been reliably informed that Lord Anthony Bridgerton intends to dominate the social season,” she continued.

According to Deadline casting is currently underway to fill some new roles for the second season, particularly that of the female lead who will play opposite Anthony as his love interest.

Season one of Bridgerton soared to success within days of its release, following the story of Julia Quinn’s novel ‘The Duke and I’ the plot followed the characters of Daphne and the Duke as they navigated their complicated and beautiful love story. The second book in the series, ‘The Viscount Who Loved Me’ focuses on the character of eldest Bridgerton son, Anthony, and his quest for love and happiness.

When exactly we can expect to see season two on our screens is still unknown, but our predictions, given the current pandemic, throws no curveballs, it should be released by the end of this year.
