Former One Direction member Zayn Malik was asked a pretty tough question during a recent interview – which 1D bandmate makes the best music?

In an interview with SiriusXM Zayn initially brushed off the question with a classic line on there ‘not being a comparison’. But, later on he decided to spill the tea and share which member is in fact his favourite.

“I’ll tell you what, Niall is my favourite. How about that? There you go. Niall makes the best music, there you go.”

Continuing on, Zayn even went on to say that he makes better music than himself, adding:

“Yeah I will say that he makes better music than me. Yeah, I’m a Niall fan.”

Zayn and Niall both released albums around the same time last year, with them both enjoying success off the back of their releases.

Die-hard 1D fans were delighted to hear the news that Zayn is still a big Niall fan, so much so that ‘Ziall’ has been trending on Twitter ever since, with fans now hoping that this may just mean a reunion is somewhere on the horizon.

This comes as Zayn majorly dragged the Grammy’s on Twitter, claiming that the awards show was simply a popularity contest. In an initial Tweet he wrote:

After fans wondering if he Tweet was a dig at Harry Styles, who was nominated for three awards, Zayn then later explained himself by saying:

“My tweet was not personal or about eligibility but was about the need for inclusion and the lack of transparency of the nomination process and the space that creates and allows favoritism, racism, and netwokring politics to influence the voting process.”
