It’s the celebrity divorce we’ve been talking about for a while now, it’s the divorce we’re starting to slowly see play out in the final season of Keeping Up With The Kardashians and yes, it’s the divorce of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West.

Currently going through the paperwork to separate after a seven year marriage, the pair are prioritising their children and figuring out the best way to co-parent with Kim spending the majority of her time in Calabasas, Los Angeles, while Kanye spends most of his time at the family ranch in Wyoming.

According to People, the pair are handling things as best as they possible can and so far, the divorce has been smooth sailing.

“Kim and Kanye are getting along. They have both stayed true to their commitment to make the best situation for the kids.”

Continuing the source added that the pair still have a lot of respect for each other and their wider families and want to make this split as seamless as possible.

“Kim is very happy that they have managed to keep things calm. She thinks Kanye is a good dad. She wants him to be able to spend as much time with the kids as he wants.”

Adding that Kim now seems “happier than ever” the source continued that the need for a divorce became more and more apparent during lockdown when the pair were rumoured to be living in separate areas of the house, finding it increasingly difficult to communicate and of course, there was Kanye’s political rally and string of hurtful tweets in the summer of 2020.

People also noted that Kanye is looking for joint and legal custody of the children and according to Kris Jenner, the advice she could shed on the subject was how important it is that the “kids come first” when talking to WSJ Magazine.

Whether or not the divorce will fully play out in the show is still up in the air, with Kris admitting that nothing on that matter has yet been finalised.
