The Most Searched Love Island Contestant Ever Has Been Revealed

It’s not long to go now before we have a very famous theme song permeating through our homes at 9 pm every night – we’re of course talking about the one and only Love Island. 

We’ve been introduced to the new, sexy, singletons ready to storm that iconic villa – we’ve stalked their Instagrams, read through their Twitter, and jumped to conclusions on what kind of ‘role’ they’ll be playing. But while we’re currently preoccupied with this year’s shiny newbies, lest we forget some of the show’s past contestants.

If there’s one thing Love Island is good at, it’s creating unforgettable reality TV characters, and oh boy, have there been some unforgetable ones over the years. Coming in at number one is season 4 contestant Zara McDermott.

Yep, it seems none of us can get enough of the 24-year-old, who although her time spent in the villa was brief at just 25 days, receives around 95k Google searches a month. We’re wondering if her turbulent relationship with Made In Chelsea’s Sam Thompson has anything got to do with that?!

Coming in at close second is our very own Maura Higgins, whose iconic one-liners in the villa have earned her a spot in the LI hall of fame. The Longford lady receives around 88k global Google searches per month.

And, the man who gave her those ‘fanny flutters’ takes the number three spot, beauty out his girlfriend Molly-Mae with 76k monthly searches.

We can’t wait to see what characters the villa has in store for us this year!
