Are They Engaged? Liam Just Reportedly Splashed Out On A HUGE Diamond Ring For Cheryl

We confess: when we first heard rumours earlier in the year that former X Factor judge Cheryl and One Direction star Liam Payne were dating we didn’t quite believe it, but six months in it looks like we’ve been proven wrong, with Cheryl and Liam making several public appearances together and looking very much in love thus far.

Now their relationship has seemed to intensify fairly sharpish, as it’s reported that Liam bought Cheryl a stunning diamond ring for her 33rd birthday this coming Thursday, sparking speculation that the couple are set to get engaged.

According to The Daily Star, the ring has a black diamond and a ruby and is believed to be inspired by Cheryl’s rose tattoo on her bum.

But the crucial question: is it an engagement ring or just a lavish bday gift?

Well, Liam’s family seem to think it could be a possibility, with Reveal Magazine reporting that Liam’s mum thinks Cheryl is the ‘perfect candidate’ to be his wife, and Liam’s sister Ruth telling him ‘You’re next’ when he and Cheryl attended her wedding a few weeks ago.

So who knows, maybe Liam really is about to put a ring on it.
