This Is How Many People Are Actually Having Threesomes And It’s Kinda Surprising

Everyone’s having threesomes. Or at least that’s what modern day porn and a few of your braggy mates might have you believe. The actual number of people jumping between the sheets for a ménage à trois? According to new research it’s probably a lot lower than you imagined.

A survey, published in the Archives of Sexual Behaviour, found that only 24 percent of guys and 8 percent of women aged between 18 and 24 have had a mixed gender threesome, so, um, not exactly the whole world.

Not surprisingly though the survey did discover that lotsa people are interested in having a threesome with 82 percent of guys and 31 percent of women revealing that it’s top of their sexual to-do list. In short, that’s a whole lotta unfulfilled fantasies.

The message we’re taking away from these results? Just because your mate says she’s had a threesome doesn’t mean she actually has. After all, the stats speak for themselves, so y’know, no need to feel left out if you’re one of the 92 percent of women who’ve kept sex a two-person affair.
