Love Island’s Niall Has Revealed The Emotional Reason Why He Left The Show
Our heart goes out to him.
Remember lovely Niall Aslam’s unexpected exit from Love Island due to ‘personal issues’? Well now he is finally talking about his reasons for leaving.
In an Instagram post, Niall opened up about a childhood diagnosis of Asperger’s Syndrome which came to a head in the villa.
In the heartfelt post, Niall spoke about finally being able to accept who he is.
Growing up was extremely difficult for me and I often felt out of place. I always felt that people didn’t understand me, yet I was afraid to reveal my true scales as I did not want the label or stigma that was attached to it.”
He also talked about the support he got from the Love Island team:
I would just like to thank the team at ITV for always backing me and giving me the opportunity to rid my myself of my insecurities and embrace the fact that I am different yet I am still a rainbow fish.”
Some of Niall’s fellow contestants on the show commented on the post, lending their support. Recently eliminated Eyal said: “You’re the most rainbowy Rainbow Fish out there, my brother. So proud of you.”
Hayley commented: “So very proud of you, we missed you so much in the villa, I wasn’t the same without you.”
Kendall, who Niall coupled up with at the beginning before she was taken by Adam, said: “You should be so proud of yourself, huge respect for you Niall and honoured to have spent the time in the villa with someone like you.”
