Vogue Is Claiming That Kylie Jenner Went ‘Makeup Free’ For This Cover, But People Aren’t Having It

Are eyelash extensions 'natural' now?

Kylie Jenner is on the cover of Vogue Australia this month, chatting to sister Kendall about her business, her daughter Stormi, and their childhood together.

The cover shows Kylie in full boss mode – and Vogue claim that she went completely makeup free for the shoot. A big deal for a makeup mogul, right? But people aren’t so sure.

In an Instagram post about the cover, Kylie’s makeup artist Ariel Tejada backs it up, saying: “I would love to say makeup by me, but really it’s moisturiser by Ariel.”

That may be true, but people are questioning if the ‘makeup free’ claim really counts in this case. She’s definitely got eyelash extensions and her eyebrows filled in at the very least, and perhaps a light layer of foundation covering her freckles.

Then there’s the matter of her fillers, which have been dissolved for the most part, sure, but traces are certainly lingering in her lips. Plus, Vogue hasn’t said anything about the photos not being retouched, and that’s a whole other thing.

The problem isn’t with Kylie getting these treatments and procedures, it’s the fact that Vogue is presenting it all as a ‘natural’ way to look.

We’d love for Vogue to see us in our ‘natural’ state, hoodie, hun bun, spots, hairy legs and all. What a shock that would be…
