Insta Creep: Meghan Markle Shared A Sweet Photo Of Baby Archie For Her First Mother’s Day…
What all the celebs are up to on social, from A to Z listers.
In our gossip column, we indulge our nosiest desires and delve deep into what the celebs (and ‘celebs’) are doing on social media. Who’s tweeting and deleting? Who’s shady faving? Let’s find out.
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry shared a sweet photo of baby Archie to mark Mother’s Day.
Yesterday was the big day for mams in the US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand, amongst other countries, and California-born Meghan chose to celebrate it as her first Mother’s Day.
“Paying tribute to all mothers today – past, present, mothers-to-be, and those lost but forever remembered,” read a post on the SussexRoyal Instagram account. The caption also includes a poignant quote from poet Nayyirah Waheed:
my
mother
was
the first country;
the first place i ever lived.
The photo is a close up of Meghan standing in a garden, cradling the tiny feet of her newborn son. So lovely.

The cast of Derry Girls looked, to quote Nicola Coughlan, like “a pack of rides” at the TV BAFTAs last night.
The show was nominated for Best Scripted Comedy, but lost out to Sky’s Sally4ever – but sure look, they’re winners in our eyes.

The Girls rubbed shoulders with all sorts of celebs, including Killing Eve’s Jodie Comer and Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Jane Krakowski (AKA Jenna Actual Maroney from 30 Rock) and Queer Eye’s Bobby Berk.
It almost feels like we were there ourselves. Doing us proud, guys.

There was some Crazy Rich Asians cast drama on Twitter over the weekend, which we’ll do our best to break down for you.
It all started when lead actress Constance Wu discovered her TV show Fresh Off The Boat had been renewed for another season – you’d think she would be pleased about this news, but eh, her tweets said otherwise.

The actress soon began backtracking, saying her “Fucking hell” tweet was nothing to do with the show’s renewal, but… other stuff.
“I’m so grateful for FOTB renewal. I love the cast&crew. I’m proud to be a part of it,” she tweeted.

Rumours started flying that Constance felt that Fresh Off The Boat was getting in the way of her burgeoning film career, and thus hoped it wouldn’t be renewed.
This was fuelled by journalist Yashar Ali, who tweeted that Constance’s “conduct comes as no surprise to anyone who has worked with her in recent years. She has a reputation for being rude, petty, mean-spirited and ungrateful”. OOF. What’s more, her Crazy Rich Asians co-star Gemma Chan liked Ali’s tweet. OOF X 2.
Just to clarify – it was an accidental 'like'. Anyone looking for drama or beef, sorry to disappoint.

Gemma later confirmed that the like was accidental, and there was no “drama or beef” between her and her castmate. Constance, for her part, released a statement apologising for the whole misunderstanding.
Both Constance and Gemma are set to reprise her roles in the two Crazy Rich Asians sequels we desperately need in our lives, so can we all just get along? Thanks.
And now it’s time for… #WilloughbyWatch
Charting the public’s obsession with what Holly Willoughby is wearing.
It’s a doubler! Holly was at the BAFTAs last night as part of the I’m A Celebrity team, which scooped the prize for Best Reality and Constructed Factual Show.
She wore a daring dress by designer Maria Lucia Hohan, which features a leggy slit and some sheer action – there are lots of bridesmaids in the comments alerting brides that they would like THIS dress, and others saying they’re ‘physically weak’ for the look. Job well done!
And today on This Morning it’s back to business with a top and skirt from the brand Sandro (it’s $$$, don’t worry about it). “Skirt too long!” replies a man with a pair of bare legs as a profile pic. Burn the comments section, TBH.
