Our Fav Runways From Paris Fashion Week (So Far)

Okay, slay

The French capital has become a designer heaven as Paris Fashion Week kicked off last week.

The runway is a showcase of enchanting structured silhouettes from Schiaparelli to what critics are referring to as a ready to wear collection from Chanel.

It is safe to say that the majority of the spring/summer collections for 2025 are not disappointing. Here are our highlights so far.

Schiaparelli

After gathering inspiration from old colour references and fabrics, the Icarus collection from Schiaparelli became a blend of romantic features and structured silhouettes to create a unique catwalk show.

Inspired by ribbons from the early 1900s, a mixture of butter, saffrons, faded peacock greens and burnt saffron browns created a delicious muted colour palette for the collection.

By experimenting with techniques, Schiaparelli was able to tailor their pieces to create garments that took us back in time to the 20th century when such styles were popular. We saw volume, structure and lots of corsets and we loved it.

Dior

It was all about that lace for Dior’s spring/summer collection 2025. Looking at inspiration from Alice Through the Looking Glass, designer Maria Grazia Chiuri wanted this collection to access another reality.

The contrast between black and white throughout the collection is a reflection of the boundaries the designer wanted to showcase. We see a lot of wired structures, bows floral embroidery and silver embellishments. Each outfit is paired with high-laced boots.

Georges Hobeika

Georges Hobeika’s couture spring/summer 2025 was everything and more. Think drama, artistic expression and embellishment – lots of embellishment. This collection was a tribute to Georgeโ€™s late Mother,ย Maria Hobieka.

The show began with several black pieces, to represent mourning for Maria. However, as the show progressed, the pieces became increasingly more full of life. The show brought the audience through a journey of life and the afterlife.

Each piece is completely unique, and such a gorgeous tribute.

PFW is only one out of four of the prestigious fashion events held throughout the year. We still have Milan, London and New York to look forward to and we are sure that each week will blow us away.
