The Two Pieces You Need In Your Wardrobe This Autumn According To Our Fashion Editor
Nailing transitional dressing can be a challenge
Each year, nailing transitional dressing can be a real challenge. Some days you layer up too much, and end up sweating pure buckets come the afternoon, and other days you layer too little, and end up spending most of your day frantically rubbing your arms to try generate some heat. Finding that middle ground can be an tricky task – but not impossible.
Luckily for us, our fashion editor Megan is always on hand with some invaluable advice when it comes to dressing. Letting us in on the two pieces she recommends adding to your wardrobe to help you transition from summer to autumn, we’ve scoured the high street to bring you our best picks.
Wide Leg Jeans
We’re sorry to report that it’s probably time to pack away the cut-offs *tear*. But, the good news is that we can now look forward to replacing our shorts with some gorge new jeans. Megan recommends wide-leg jeans in particular as they provide both maximum comfort and style, making it easy to get a few more weeks wear out of those crop tops and t-shirts. Style them with a pair of winter boots or platform runners, elongating your legs and lifting up that bum – perfecto!
Hailey Trouser Jean – €185
Flared High Waist Jeans – €69
The Super-Soft Wide Leg Jean – €69
Light Knits
An essential in any Irish wardrobe all year round – let’s be honest. A light knit will not only see you through the colder days in summer, but those in-between days in autumn too. You could even go one step further and make your light knits work for winter too by layering turtlenecks underneath them on the coldest of days.
Ribbed turtleneck – €20
Oversized Swirl Pattern Knitted Jumper – €49,00
Pure Merino Wool Cardigan – €47.50
