According To Reports, Kanye West Is No Longer Running For President

He announced his bid just two weeks ago

Just two weeks after announcing his running for the presidency, it has been reported that Kanye West has dropped out of the race.

Although very little information regarding the situation is available, the rappers campaign has reportedly been suspended, with Steve Kramer, who works on Kanye’s campaign team told New York Magazine’s Intelligencer “he’s out”.

Steve went on to say that Kanye had a team of both “paid and volunteer” staff out campaigning to secure signatures to get him onto the ballot.

The team was “working over weekend there, formalizing the FEC and other things that they’ve got to do when you have a lot of corporate lawyers involved.” said Steve.

“Everyone has their personal decision about why they make decisions. Running for president has to be one of the hardest things for someone to actually contemplate at that level,

“Any candidate running for president for the first time goes through these hiccups.”

When quizzed on why exactly Kanye has pulled out, Steve said that there are many things need that need to be finalised before that can be answered.

Since announcing the news on the 4th of July, reports from TMZ claimed that Kanye’s family were worried for his well-being, as he appears to be “in the midst” of a bipolar episode.

“Kanye has been doing well for a long time. In the past, he has suffered both manic and depressive episodes related to his bipolar disorder. Right now, he is struggling again.” an insider told People magazine.

“The episodes usually last for a few weeks and then things go back to normal. Kim hopes it will be the same this time,” they concluded.
