Insta Creep: Amber Gill Says Her Friendship With Anna Vakili Is The ‘Realest’ Thing To Come Out Of Love Island…
What all the celebs are up to on social, from A to Z listers.
In our gossip column, we indulge our nosiest desires and delve deep into what the celebs (and ‘celebs’) are doing on social media. Who’s tweeting and deleting? Who’s shady faving? Let’s find out.
Love Island’s Amber Gill has broken her silence following her split with Greg O’Shea… to defend her friend Anna Vakili, who has been the subject of several cruel memes lately.
After Greg’s appearance on the Late Late Show on Friday, Anna’s sister Mandi went on Instagram Live with Amber, alleging that Amber had ‘screenshots’ to refute how Greg said the breakup went down:
Over the weekend, viral memes on Twitter and Instagram posited that Amber looked ‘uncomfortable’ with Anna and Mandi, who users compared to the cartoon characters The Cramp Twins.
Anna hit back, putting the comments down to racism – and Amber agreed, saying:
This woman is the best friend I could ever wish for. She supports me 100%. She has made me feel so good over these past few days and these comments need to stop. I’m happy so why’s everyone else so bothered. She’s trying to make me happy not you, so go about your business please.
She went on to call her relationship with Anna “the realest relationship to come out of the villa”.
This could get messier than we anticipated. Stay tuned…
Meanwhile, Molly-Mae Hague is on a billboard in New Yorks’ Times Square. Nice wan!
The Love Island runner-up has a new range with Pretty Little Thing, which is being splashed across several screens at the famous tourist attraction:
“That’s me… on a billboard… in Times Square,” she captioned her Instagram photo, looking like a perfect mixture of chuffed and terrified.
She’s in town for New York Fashion Week, and met Paris Hilton at a show yesterday:
She is living the life.
Jennifer Aniston fans are unimpressed with her overly tanned look on a new magazine cover.
Jen An is the star of InStyle’s October issue, wearing a variety of 60s and 70s-inspired looks – and while most of them have gone down a treat, this particular cover has left people cold.
Jennifer is known for having a golden glow, but Instagram commenters reckon she’s been airbrushed “ten shades darker than she actually is”. Some think the photo even borders on blackface.
“In 2019, if you want a brown-skinned woman on your cover, put a brown-skinned woman on your cover,” read one comment. Still more people thought the women in the photos didn’t even resemble the real Aniston.
A spokesperson for InStyle told NBC that the cover was directly inspired by 60s German model Veruschka, who often looked heavily tanned.
However, they would not comment on whether her skin had been darkened, either digitally or otherwise. Yeet.
And now it’s time for… #WilloughbyWatch
Charting the public’s fascination with what Holly Willoughby is wearing.
Oooh, look who’s chic! This morning on This Morning, Hols is wearing a cream two-piece from Maje – the set doesn’t appear to be online yet, but seeing as Maje is a pricier brand, we can guess it costs a pretty penny. And you wouldn’t even dream of doing anything but presenting a morning TV show in it for fear of stains.
Her fans agree: “Wow, I would totally spill something on myself if I wore that, pressure. You look amazing.” Not accusing Holly of being ‘unrelatable’ for wearing an all-cream outfit? People are being very reasonable today.
