Rockstar Travis Barker has opened up to fans after undergoing a major surgery on his hand.

The drummer announced he would need to go under the knife earlier this week after injuring his hand, with his band Blink-182 sharing the news and postponing their tour as a result.

Naturally fans were worried for the rocker/reality star, but Travis returned to social media, and assured everyone the opperation went well.

Writing: “Thank you for all the love and prayers and understanding this week as I went into surgery.”

Travis also explained how grateful he was for his doctor and that the “surgery was a success so that I can keep doing what I love and see you guys on tour soon.”

Of course, wife Kourtney Kardashian was quick to send him support, commenting: “thank you God, amen”

But the dad of three continued on, emphasising how hard it was to opt for the surgery.

Writing: “It was a hard decision to make, but ultimately I couldn’t continue to play the drums without it. It was inevitable that my finger would have dislocated again without fixing the torn ligament surgically.”

This isn’t the only health scare the family has experienced recently. As during the summer Travis was rushed to hospital in an ambulance with wife Kourtney by his side.

Fans were shocked to hear of the ambulance news, and later on Travis’ daughter Alabama confirmed her dad was in unwell and asked for prayer.

After a stint in the hospital, Travis was discharged and updated fans, writing: “I went in for an endoscopy Monday feeling great. But after dinner, I developed excruciating pain and have been hospitalized ever since.”

“During the endoscopy, I had a very small polyp removed right in a very sensitive area, usually handled by specialists, which unfortunately damaged a critical pancreatic drainage tube.”

According to TMZ he was suffering from pancreatitis, which Travis then confirmed himself. Sharing, “This resulted in severe life threatening pancreatitis.” Reassuring fans that his health had improved, he wrote, “I am so very very grateful that with intensive treatment I am currently much better.”

Here’s wishing Travis a speedy recovery!
