In the October issue of STELLAR, our 25 things to do before you turn 25 details – you guessed it – 25 things we reckon would be fun (and helpful) to have ticked off your list by the time the quarter century rolls around. Here are the final five – want the first 20? Check out the issue, on sale now.
21. Learn the offside rule
If only so you can, occasionally, break the football monotony by declaring, “surely that was offside!” Only to be employed if it was, actually, offside, mind you.
22. Go to Paris
Get a hot chocolate, stroll down the Champs-Elysées, eat macarons in the Ladurée cafe (be sure to take a snap for Instagram). Then, afterwards, you can say to people, “Paris was grand, but I didn’t really get the fuss.” Except you’ll pronounce it Par-ee.
23. Bake your own bread
It’s not that hard, honest. Ask around for a foolproof recipe for traditional brown bread, then whip it up whenever there’s a sniff of an American tourist, for instant brownie points.
24. Block and report
No matter how tame a tweeter you are, there’s always going to be some uppity troll dying to take you down a peg or two. It’s a formative experience – as is clicking that ‘block and report’ button. Sweet revenge.
25. Play tourist for a day (without going anywhere)
There’s loads to explore in Ireland, and 99 percent of us haven’t seen the half of it. Take a trip to the Giant’s Causeway, go smooch the Rock of Cashel or take a tourist bus around Dublin. (We draw the line at coddle, mind you, but each to their own.)
