Love Island’s Amy Temporarily Left The Villa For Counselling After That Curtis Chat

Contrary to social media reports, she has not left the show entirely.

Amy Hart was temporarily removed from the Love Island villa after her fraught chat with Curtis Pritchard, but hasn’t left the show completely.

The pair’s fledgling courtship has been put through the ringer since Amy returned from Casa Amor, with Curtis revealing he had tried to recouple with new girl Jourdan.

A devastated Amy, who didn’t ‘crack on’ with any of the new male Islanders during their four days apart, realised that all was not as it seemed in their relationship.

Last night, we saw her confront Curtis with a list of questions to help her get a handle on their respective feelings – the chat ended with Curtis admitting he couldn’t promise his head wouldn’t be turned again.

Weeping to the camera in the Beach Hut, Amy said:

I thought I’d met my first love and The One and it turns out I haven’t. I’m someone’s back-up plan yet again. I wouldn’t have ever looked at anyone else. He was my future and now I have nothing and he’s taken that away from me.

The Mirror reports that producers took the air stewardess out of the villa for some ‘psychological support’ after the row.

Sources said she needed help to deal with the “humiliation” of being dumped by Curtis, “which is played out on national telly”.

However, contrary to some speculation on social media, she has not left the show completely.

Following the deaths of former contestants Mike Thalassitis and Sophie Gradon, ITV stepped up their aftercare process. Islanders are now given detailed explanations of the implications of taking part in the show, and there are psychological experts and welfare teams available to them both during the show and afterwards.

2018 contestant Laura Anderson previously said she walked out of the villa three times after Wes Nelson dumped her for Megan Barton Hanson.

Yeah, I walked out three times. They brought me back… Loads of stuff happens, and then you’re just stuck there, and you have to chat about it. I just got a bit overwhelmed, I think. I was like, “I’ve had enough!”
